| This summer, Jim (Najeb) Nehmetallah, brought his Family Tree consisting of 8000 persons and 5000 pictures to Tourza.
After 5 years of research, two of the largest families were displayed in the church hall on Thursday July 22nd and Sunday July 25th.
Everyone who visited was amazed at the extent of information compiled. New information was exchanged and the tree has grown. Soon, the tree will be updated with these new additions.
Next summer, most of the families will be printed and displayed again to verify before a final publication will be made. Everyone is invited to email
Jim or
Youssef Saad with updates and/or photos. As well, if you did not get a chance to view these trees, please feel free to
email
me and I can send you a .pdf of your family’s tree.
This family tree has helped connect many of Lebanese descent, especially beyond the borders of this quaint, little village. This is an important venture that allows us to bring together the past, for the benefit of our future generations.
